Ramblings and dribbles of Justin Bull
Well its by no means photorealistic, but I had time restrictions and I was rendering on a 6 year old machine.
Well? Look at the main site!
New template, complete with a “demo reel” of sorts.
Anyway, I’ve teamed up with a few people to get us rolling! So Hip it MHz is open for business!
DAMN! 5 weeks and I still have back issues. I went to the Doc who pointed out to me that I’ve strained some muscle in my back (I can’t look fully left now) which controls the range of movement of my head. He says another 4 weeks until its healed. Nothing but Ibuprofen and exercise until then. Speaking of which, I’ve started a new workout regimen to help make my figure less scrawny
Unrelated note: I know I’m very belated in the tutorial and I’m sorry to say its been put on hiatus until further notice.
Hey all,
I was on the way to see Watchmen with my good friend Bo (he was driving a smart car, I was the passenger) and when turning onto Marine from 15th we got into a collision with a truck.
Thankfully everyone was ok, I sustained most injury as the truck hit the front passenger side. As a result the truck was pretty much a write-off but the smart car has surprisingly little damage. It will probably be repaired and covered by insurance.
I’ve got some pretty bad whiplash and my chest hurts like a bitch. I figure around 90km/h force hit my chest (seatbelt worked, airbag deployed).
Thankfully my head hit the airbag and not the window side. Since it was close to a T-bone, I could’ve seriously hurt myself had my head not hit the airbag. Bo was pretty shaken up, but I was the only one with trouble breathing.
Anyways, here are some photos.
Yeup. The Realflow and Maya tutorial is late. I’ll get to it this weekend
In the meantime here is something rather cool to satiate your tutorial-hungry minds:
Hello all! This is a quick post to inform those who are waiting that I will pump out a new tutorial this weekend. The tutorial will be on Next Limit’s RealFlow 4 and Autodesk’s Maya 2009 software to simulate & render 3d fluid dynamics.
An example of some old work:
The tutorial will cover various aspects of RealFlow’s simulation process and Maya’s rendering workflow. Although the concepts can be applied to virtuall any version of either program, any scene or project files require RealFlow 4 & Maya 2009 or higher.
Wow. We live in a day where people just don’t care anymore. So much, in fact, that they feel compelled to take out one of the pillar’s of innocence and the future with them.
Yesterday Rockridge Secondary School (5 minutes from my house) went into Lockdown. Lockdown is a protocol (an initiative by the Canadian government) to reduce fatalities in the event of dangerous people or otherwise entering the school. According to CBC’s report, two men carrying rifles were spotting outside the school. Everyone went into immediate lockdown, locking all doors inside and outside the school and hiding all students away from windows and doors with the lights off.
The lockdown event lasted from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. During the lockdown period there were K9 an SWAT units and dozens of cop cars. Not to mention helicopters.
Quite nerve-racking to say the least, as my step-brother was there in lockdown that day.
